Rick Belmont

I'm Rick Belmont, an entrepreneur, owner-operator, product builder, and lifelong creator focused on using technology to solve real problems.

I've spent more than two decades in restoration, contents, and home services. I started in contents inventory in New York, went on to build and operate restoration companies, relocated to California, and today my wife, Marie Alice, and I own a plumbing and HVAC company.

That matters because I'm not building software from the outside looking in. I still deal with the same challenges contractors deal with every day: staffing, scheduling, documentation, estimating, customer communication, field accountability, training, payroll, cash flow, and the constant gap between what happens in the field and what reaches the office.

I didn't build software after leaving the industry. I started building software because I was still in it.

Today, I'm focused on building products that solve problems I understand firsthand and, in some cases, problems I simply believe deserve to be solved.

RestCore™ is an AI-powered operating platform built for restoration and home-service contractors. RoutePal is focused on field sales, routing, and relationship-driven growth, and ships on iOS and Android. OpenSpeak AAC is a free augmentative and alternative communication platform designed to help non-speaking children and people with communication disabilities express themselves through symbols and natural speech output.

None of it is a solo effort. My wife and co-founder, Marie Alice Belmont, has worked alongside me in every business we have built. She works with me across product direction, technology strategy, operations, branding, marketing, and bringing what we build to market. Ideas get challenged, refined, and tested between the two of us before they ever reach a customer.

We also still run our plumbing and HVAC company day to day, which gives us a real-world environment to test ideas, workflows, and technology before asking other contractors to trust them.

Outside of business and software, I create and DJ music through Spiritfy.

I'm especially interested in AI agents, voice interfaces, accessibility technology, field-service software, workflow automation, and building products alongside the people who actually use them.
